Daily topics include theory, musicianship, jazz history, jazz ensemble playing, performance, and group lessons. Participants develop skills useful in many musical genres, such as Rock, Blues, Swing, Latin, and Funk.. For ages 11-17, playing jazz at beginning to intermediate levels. Taught by Brooks Holmes and Joe Whalen.
10am-Noon, July 13-17

Rock Band Ensemble
The rock band ensemble program is designed to train young musicians to utilize their instrumental skills and musicianship to be just as comfortable playing in a group music setting as they are playing on their own. Private instruction and individual practice are a fantastic and essential part of growing as a musician, but this program will offer another essential component of good musicianship – being able to perform with a group. More importantly, playing in a band is FUN, which makes it a perfect way to spend a week in the summer! Students in the ensemble will learn modern rock songs as well as some classic rock favorites. This class will culminate in a performance on the last day. Taught by Dan Prindle.
